The CHF Summit 2021: Shifting Gears is primarily for and about consumers, including carers. It will offer the pre-eminent opportunity to share your skills and learn from others experience about how to affect change as a consumer advocate.

SUPPORT TO ATTEND
CHF are offering 125 free registrations for consumers to attend the CHF Summit 2021: Shifting Gears. These places have now been allocated.
CHF encourage other organisations to support consumers to participate in the Summit. We will share these opportunities as they arise.
We encourage you to speak to consumer organisations which you are involved with about how they can support your attendance. There is more information for organisations on the Supporting Consumers page.
OPPORTUNITIES TO PARTICIPATE
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
We will be accepting abstract submission for presentations in the 4 streams of the Summit: Consumers as researchers, Consumer-based health care, Consumers leadership, and Consumer enablement. Both speaking and poster presentation spots are available. You may also submit an expression of interest to provide a 90 minute workshop.
We strongly encourage abstract submissions from consumers. We will be giving preference to abstracts which are presented or co-presented by consumers.
BIG IDEAS FORUM
The CHF Summit 2021: Shifting Gears will feature a Big Ideas Forum showcasing big, innovative ideas from consumers about how to improve and transform the health system and health outcomes in Australia. We will be asking consumers to share their big ideas with us through a video competition in the lead up to the Summit.
The winning entries will have the opportunity to be among the speakers in the Big Ideas Forum to share their big ideas and take part in a discussion facilitated by Ellen Fanning from ABC TV’s The Drum. (Ms Ellen Fanning appears by arrangement with Claxton Speakers International).
The Big Ideas Competition will open soon. We will be providing lots of tips and tricks to help you film your entry. Please join our mailing list to stay up to date.

CONSUMER RAPPORTEURS
The Summit will feature a number of consumer rapporteurs who will provide a verbal report on the proceedings of Summit during the closing plenary. If you are interested in becoming a rapporteur for the CHF Summit please join our mailing list. Further information about how to apply will be available soon.
PRE-CONFERENCE MASTERCLASS
If you are interested in building your skills in experience-based co-design, come along to our Pre-Conference Masterclass. The Masterclass will be held in the afternoon on Wednesday 17 March 2021.
AT THE CONFERENCE
We will be providing a virtual consumer meet-up space at the Summit to enable consumers to identify each other and network together.
